New Prosthesis Allows Joe to Return to Ice (and Water)!

Joe was in the office yesterday to receive his new prosthetic arm, which is designed to help him return to playing ice hockey and kayaking.  As a child, Joe played with the American Amputee Hockey Association (http://www.amputeehockey.org.prod.sportngin.com/), but has not played in a while.

As you can see, his new prosthesis incorporates a terminal device (“hand”) that is designed to clamp a hockey stick.  He also received another terminal device that works the same way with a kayak paddle.

Good luck out there Joe, and we look forward to some of those kayaking photos.
