Julianne Gupta, CPO decided to have a little fun this week with one of her patients, Jimmo. Jimmo wears bilateral below knee prostheses, and was in for final fitting of two new prostheses. At the fitting, Julianne left the shin tubes of his prostheses about a foot longer than normal- Jimmo quickly figured out something was up, but did enjoy briefly seeing the world from the eyes of an over 7 foot tall man. After some discussion about the pros and cons of being 7 feet tall (including the considerable advantages during pick up basketball), Jimmo decided that his normal height was preferable and the shins were cut down to length.
