We are sad to announce that earlier this month we lost a long time patient and friend, Michael Hector. We endearingly refer to our patients as members of the “United Family”, and Michael was a perfect example of why: Michael has been coming to United for 30 years since the loss of both of his legs below the knee. Over the course of 30 years, we witnessed his amazing physical accomplishments and personal growth- and shared his enthusiasm for his pursuits. Because of this, our relationship with Michael went well beyond a simple provider/patient relationship. We were happy to be able to consider him family and proud that he considered us to be the same.
