Ras Labs has developed a substance that mimics the human muscle when exposed to electrical charge. As the article mentions, this could have very significant applications in the prosthetic industry, and we look forward to seeing first hand how life changing they will be for those affected by limb loss.
The article goes beyond prosthetic application, and opens up the idea that if the current space travel experiments are positive, the substance could be utilized in future trips to Mars!
