Our Process: Initial Consultation to Final Fittings for Wellesley Patients
From the initial consultation to the final fittings, our team at United Prosthetics is dedicated to providing top-quality care and attention to detail for patients living in Wellesley, MA. We understand that each person’s body and lifestyle are unique, which is why we offer custom-designed and individually tailored prosthetic and orthotic devices for all ages.
During your initial consultation with one of our licensed physicians, we will assess your individual history, needs, and goals. Using this information, we will begin working on a treatment plan that takes into account your body’s specific requirements and your preferred lifestyle. During this appointment, we will also take your specific measurements to ensure a perfect fit for your prosthetic or orthotic device.
At United Prosthetics, we help our patients let their creativity and individuality shine by offering custom socket art and fabrication. Using the latest technology and materials, our team will design and fabricate a device that not only fits you perfectly but also reflects your personality and style. To allow our patients to express themselves even more, we also offer custom designs and socket art, such as sports logos, favorite colors, or even a personal message.
Once your device is fully fabricated, we will schedule a final fitting appointment. During this appointment, our team will make any necessary adjustments to ensure that your device fits comfortably and functions properly. We also offer follow-up appointments to ensure that your device continues to fit and function correctly over time, with any necessary adjustments or repairs.
After you have been fitted and received your device, our team at United Prosthetics will continue to provide support and aftercare services. Receiving your device is only the beginning of your journey, and our staff is here to provide any guidance or support you may need along the way. Through physical therapy and rehabilitation, we will help you learn how to use your device effectively and confidently, allowing you to get back to the activities you love.
